Mad Fishen Spinning Reels are compact freshwater reels designed for crappie, panfish, and light-tackle applications where smooth drag performance and precise line control matter. Both models use an aluminum no-slip braid spool that grips braided line securely to help prevent the spool slippage that can create false drag during a hookset.

The MR50 is the lighter, faster model with six ball bearings and a 5.2:1 gear ratio, while the MR100 adds line capacity and a lower 4.7:1 gear ratio for anglers who want more versatility. Both use front drag control, reversible handles, multi-point anti-reverse, multi-disc drag systems, and heavy-duty bail wires.

      Key Features

      • Aluminum no-slip braid spool
      • Front drag control for precise adjustment
      • Reversible handle for left- or right-hand retrieve
      • Multi-point anti-reverse for solid hooksets
      • Smooth multi-disc drag system
      • Heavy-duty bail wire

      Specifications

      • MR50: 6 ball bearings, 5.2:1 gear ratio, 4.7 oz
      • MR50 line capacity: 130 yd / 4 lb, 85 yd / 6 lb, 60 yd / 8 lb
      • MR100: 4 ball bearings, 4.7:1 gear ratio, 7.2 oz
      • MR100 line capacity: 150 yd / 6 lb, 135 yd / 8 lb, 120 yd / 10 lb

      Best Uses

Choose the MR50 for ultralight crappie, bluegill, and finesse presentations where low reel weight and a quicker retrieve are preferred. Step up to the MR100 when more line capacity and a slightly larger reel are useful for casting, trolling, or handling larger panfish and light freshwater species.
