TopHat Jigs Small Fry is a compact 1.25-inch panfish soft bait built for subtle presentations when crappie and other panfish are feeding on small forage or refusing larger plastics. Its ribbed body adds texture and water displacement, while the forked tail flicks with very little movement to keep the bait alive during slow retrieves and near-stationary vertical presentations.

The Small Fry is especially effective in clear water, cold water, and other pressured conditions where a small profile and restrained action can trigger fish that ignore more aggressive baits. The soft, flexible body rigs easily on light jigheads and is suited to vertical jigging, dock shooting, slow swimming, and fishing around vegetation or structure.

    Key Features

    • 1.25-inch compact baitfish profile for finesse panfish presentations
    • Forked tail produces natural flicking action with minimal movement
    • Ribbed body adds texture and subtle water displacement
    • Soft, flexible construction for easy rigging on light jigheads
    • Effective for crappie, bluegill, perch, and other panfish
    • Available in multiple proven panfish color patterns

    Specifications

    • Length: 1.25 in
    • Pack contents: 12 soft baits plus four 1/32 oz jig heads

    Best Uses

Use the Small Fry for vertical jigging over brush, shooting beneath docks, slow swimming along weed edges, or suspending under a float when fish want a small, natural meal. Its subtle forked-tail action is particularly useful during cold fronts, winter fishing, clear-water conditions, and periods of heavy fishing pressure.
